Quite large gas station. But pretty bad for direction Glasgow. I think I got a mercy ride out of here, but I think you are much better when heading towards Edinburgh or Stirling.

This is a decent spot, but if you have the option to pick a gas station, I would opt for the larger one closer to Glasgow. Here many rental cars refuel for the airport.

Reliable as allways, and a hitchhike to connel is allways worth it to sort out the fortwilliam and glasgow traffic

A truck driver leant out the window and shouted “(something)(something) Livuhpeewl”. I couldn’t understand through the thick scouse accent. He might’ve been going to Liverpool. Along with every other driver for the next three hours. I abandoned my Edinburgh sign as the sun was setting and finally thumbed a lift to Glasgow before I gave up hope

Hitched to Glasgow in a oner got offered acomodation that had a 4 poster bed and hot tub

I had bad luck hitching at the services, so I tried the hotel. Not great, but I got a long ride to Glasgow. So a win.

Held a sign. Got a ride to Glasgow within half an hour or so

Lots of traffic towards Glasgow.

There is a perfect place for cars to pull into w/ the bus stop. Even at close to 10PM it was only a little while before a bloke took me all the way to Glasgow.

Good spot with space for cars go stop..got a ride straight to Glasgow within 20mn

15 minute wait for a ride and tour around glasgow

Perfect spot to head any direction as it's the crossroads of the Highlands. Drivers can see you from a good distance and go around the roundabout very slowly. Lift to Glasgow within 5 minutes.

We managed to get a ride to Glasgow from someone who was in the ferry with us.

Easy ride, if I need to reach Glasgow/Edinburgh or even further down to England (sometimes lucky to reach destination by only one car). Or stand on opposite side of the road, if heading to Oban/Fort William.

Great spot, good opportunity for drivers to stop in the driveway, catching most traffic leaving for William. Lots of destinations here (Oban, Glasgow,...)

The second driver that i asked gave me a lift to Glasgow. There is enough traffic at the petrol station. Good spot to find somebody to Glasgow.

Not the safest HH spot, but still good towards Edinburgh or Glasgow. Just walk a little bit outwards from the roundabout. Got a ride to Edinburgh after 5 minutes! AdrianB

Heading to Glasgow, it's little bit dangerous getting there from the services but if you get there, there is a perfect spot where the car can stop.

Took me a long time to get a lift! Three hours waiting from 1700 on a Monday... Eventually got a lift heading South by talking at the gas pumps. Still probably the best option for getting out of Glasgow.
